Among other possibilities, an Italian citizen may participate in public competitions, reside in Italy and have rights that may be extended to cohabiting family members.<\/span><\/p>\nLaw no. 91\/1992 establishes the 4 criteria for <\/span>the attribution of Italian citizenship<\/b>:<\/span><\/p>\n\n- By marriage<\/b><\/a><\/li>\n
- By naturalisation (Italian citizenship by residence)<\/b><\/a><\/li>\n
- By birth<\/b><\/a><\/li>\n
- By benefit of law<\/b><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
Italian citizenship by marriage

- The personal details in Italian and foreign documents must coincide in all acts. Therefore, if there are any differences in the data reported (e.g. change of surname after marriage, different place of birth), it is necessary to produce appropriate documentation attesting to the exact personal details and the reasons that led to these changes (e.g. marriage certificate and consular certificate)<\/span><\/li>\n
